Saillon takes part in Heritage Day 2026, on the theme “in peril”.
Theme of the visit: Saillon, a village saved from time and water
Transformed over the centuries and marked by the disappearance of its castle, the medieval village of Saillon bears witness to a fragile heritage that has also been shaped by the evolution of the Rhône and its landscape.
As you wander through the narrow streets, this tour invites you to discover the traces of the past that are still visible, the elements that have been preserved and the stories they tell. It also highlights the current initiatives that are keeping this heritage alive and perpetuating the skills of yesteryear.
