Once upon a time: Saillon, a village of many facets
The village of Saillon has three facets: history, with its medieval setting comprising a town surrounded by ramparts and a tower; culture, with a museum and a legendary heritage known throughout the region; and a passion for gastronomy, as the home of asparagus and a dedicated wine producer.
A popular destination in the Valais, Saillon invites you to enjoy the proximity of nature and the attraction of a number of unusual places, to meet its craftsmen of taste, to relax at the baths or along the signposted routes, on foot or by bike. Welcome, dear traveller!

Meet the artists – Erwin Egger, photographs
Ever since he was a teenager, Erwin’s passion for images has never left him, whether through drawing or photography. It was through his professional and sporting activities that photography continued to accompany him. He began to capture his surroundings, to document his ideas, to observe what was happening around him and to show it through photography, as a self-taught photographer. Little by little, Erwin has developed his own personal style and approach. Today, he’s delighted to be able to share his journey and his vision with us here in Saillon. Erwin Egger “eerimage” open to all (members and non-members).
