Meet the artists – Isabelle Denise Hélène Favre

Tonight we take you on a journey with Isabelle. Here's a quick bio from her website: "Trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Sion from 1989 to 1994, I explored drawing, painting and printmaking. The history of art led me to photography, and Cindy Sherman&#8217s work was an obvious choice. It was to this art form that I devoted my first 20 years of research, working to perfect my mastery of light and composition and collaborating with the country&#8217s major print media. In 2007, I returned to painting, using Indian ink, walnut stain, charcoal and tar, and in 2017 I rediscovered the sensations of intaglio engraving, inspired by the work of Belgian artist Vincent Fortemps. This was followed by a series entitled " Dérive ", born of an eight-month exodus on my boat. Engravings and photographs interact in black and white. No flash, no retouching. Just an indomitable freedom of line and light
