Good practice
Before you set off on your discovery of the Bird Trail, here are a few tips for respectful and enjoyable birdwatching. By adopting these best practices, you’ll be helping to preserve their habitat and make the most of this unique experience:
- Stay quiet and listen; you’ll hear the birds before you see them.
- Keep your dog on a lead.
- Stay on the marked paths. Trails are not playgrounds.
- Do not use recordings of birdsong to attract them.
- Bring binoculars.

Competition
As you walk along the trails, you’ll come across birds with little names. Remember to take a pen or pencil with you to write them down on the brochures available at the start of the two loops. Once you’ve completed your brochure, drop it in the letterbox decorated by the Saillon school classes!
